Default GW crash

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone was having the same problem or could recommmend what I should do. This happened right after the newest update.

I just tried starting guildwars and the screen flashed and went away. I then tried to load it again and and a screen came up saying it had to repair the archive. It then began to load as if I just installed GW. When I finally got to the load screen I put my pass and email in and it began to load all the maps as if I had never visted them before.

Sadly when it loaded the map it a screen popped up saying GW has encountered a serious error and had to shut down. I send a letter to A-net, but I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this after the update.

Thanks for your help.

EDIT: also the screen stays stuck in windows size

Yeah, happened to me too.

But I'm more concerned about the fact that the game freezes my system on me and I can't play it. Posted a message about that several days ago, but no response... :-(

Very recently I have been experiencing GW minimizing for no reason, also very brief freezes - seems to have started sometime in the last 2 updates.

have had similar problems, this last week (last few days actually)....I would play for awhile (hour or so) and then the whole thing would freeze, mouse and keyboard also. The only solution would be to power off, now I have had a similar problem for sometime, however; it would never happen while guildwars was running so I am unsure of the culprit (though I am eying my graphic card suspiciously)....not sure if this is the same kind of problem or if it is related to the update....though it would be nice to find out the answer to the OP's problem (and see if it helps me as well).
So please keep us posted!!!!!
